October Chapter Meeting: The PR Power of Anniversaries

The PR Power of Anniversaries
Lessons From UA Little Rock’s Centennial

Anniversaries are a gift for PR professionals. They give us a built-in reason to tell great stories, reconnect with audiences and shine a spotlight on the work and people that have shaped our organizations. But making the most of a milestone takes more than designing an anniversary logo and sharing throwback photos.

As UA Little Rock celebrates its 100th anniversary, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer Dr. Carrie Phillips will share five practical lessons from a year of putting the Centennial to work. She’ll talk about digging through 100 years of history to find the stories people actually want to hear, getting others involved in telling the story, creating moments that generate attention, and using an anniversary to talk about more than the past.

You’ll leave with practical ideas for turning an anniversary into a meaningful PR opportunity, along with a few lessons UA Little Rock has learned along the way.
